Michael Bauer, DVM
Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Surgeons
After receiving his DVM from Auburn University in 1982, Dr. Michael Bauer completed 4 years of advanced training in small animal surgery. He taught surgery for 10 years, primarily at Purdue University and Colorado State University, before establishing his Colorado Springs surgical practice in 1996.
Dr. Bauer has focused his work on small animal orthopedics, specifically arthroscopy, total hip replacement and ACL repair including TPLO and TTA. He has had the opportunity to perform thousands of knee and hip procedures and is considered an authority in these areas.
He loves working with animals, mountainbiking, windsurfing and playing guitar.
